Since it's going on auction for the PS4 ver today , was wondering if anyone tried out the dlc and is information technology worth paying $ten for the season pass

I already have the base game by buying the premium edition for $ten final Black Fri 😂

Yep, it is. Had fun platimuming information technology.

... Bought the complete edition at launch, simply never went dorsum for any of the DLC, considering despite existence a good game, it was kind of a disappointment compared to the original ;(

Allow me to attempt and atmosphere your enthusiasm to collect DLC for a game you haven't bothered firing upwards in nearly a year since yous bought information technology:

Don't waste your coin on DLC for games yous haven't even fired upwards. You're throwing your coin away.

Damn. Did anyone played that DLC?

It's a nice game, but it did poorly sales-wise. They over-promised on the DLC, and then when the game didn't sell well they seem to have given that DLC a tiny budget. Information technology took forever to come up, and was only nothing.

I've had the flavor pass from the start as i got the collector's edition for some stupid reason and i've not bothered checking the dlc at all, i looked once i think and it was just a dungeon with a lot of floors?

The extra content isn't bad to exist fair, it's kinda like the residue of the main game, it'south expert just non amazing similar the first game was.

Must get around to finishing this game at some point.

I don't like the game, so didn't carp finishing, merely even my boyfriend that loved the game thought the DLC was bad.

Only simply started the game only the gainsay is already better than the first to me, just hope the AI doesnt get atrocious like first game. First game was an OK game that I had to force myself to finish because the Political party AI was shit.

Dropped the game when I finally got the gunkhole and went to the island with the center.

God awful game. Such a shame the game turned out how it did. They need to get the Ghibli people behind it over again and focus more on attribute of spring between 2 worlds. With the added upshot of each globe effects the other.

It's not.
Improve question is: Is the base game worth it?
Yep it is. Information technology'southward extremely enjoyable.

Information technology does tick me off that this forum seems to have a stick up its ass for a game that really actually good, simply considering it'due south different from the original. Enjoyable characters, fun locales, informal if light story, action gameplay with tons of options rather than sticking to a traditional RPG grind, great graphics and artstyle, extremely quick loading inside the game, etc.

The base difficulty is enough then you movement through enemies like an action game with only tainted bosses that might requite yous a piffling problem. If yous desire a challenge throughout, then merely turn up the difficulty.

I haven't had this much of a grinning on my face up going through an game since Sly Cooper two (in fact some locations requite me a SC vibe). It's a great game with tons of content and is really cheap, don't let people stuck on "pure Studio Ghibli" cutscenes and turned based gameplay talk you out of this.

Bank check Steam reviews for more balanced opinions. It has its flaws, but also some practiced things too. The art is terrific. I just picked the prince edition upwards on that Bandai sale. Was a tough buy. I probably should not have done it with my state of affairs, but I did so whatever. I would not pay more than sixteen for the Prince edition though. That was already a chip too much for me. I got a couple more for 34 dollars on that humble packet. 3 or iv going to charity. I got Tekken and Berseria too. Not sure I will play any of them soon, merely I do desire to try them out at least.

Steam reviews basically are pretty mixed. The last major DLC was a hundred floor dungeon with a bunch of loot. Think stuff similar Beaker dungeons in Dark Souls or something. Easy enough content to put out. The other primary DLC was a lot more story and lore stuff, and I retrieve it was based around stuff that already existed. IDK. Game's art style looks pretty cool.

The builder mechanics are something new for sure.

A lot of people hate the story, just I mean information technology's not similar xvi-bit stories blow my socks off and I actually savour old-schoolhouse games with simplistic stories sometimes.

Y'all should non ask this here I think, Era HATES this game.

As for your question, I don't know, haven't played the DLC but I loved the base game so if it'south more of the same, it might be good?

The concensus here is non hate, rather varying states of indifference. The most common critiques I've read is that the gameplay offers very little challenge and isn't interesting enough.

No I wouldn't become it. The base game is not that swell. I bought a PS3 just to play Ni No Kuni i and I couldn't even finish 2. Ane of the biggest disappointments in gaming for me last year.

Amend question is: Is the base of operations game worth it?

Just recently, I've started thinking about replaying information technology. Great game.

The story role of the DLC has you going to all the inns in (heh) the world (about half dozen/7) in order for yous to view stupid nonsense cutscenes that brand no sense (too with 0 vocalisation acting of course) followed by souped up recycled tainted/boss monsters from the main game that have forever to kill. That takes around an 60 minutes or 2 before you finally build your own inn in (ok that time it was on purpose) Evermore and that is when it apparently, properly begins. I say patently considering that's where I dropped it, even as someone who overall liked NNK2 despite several criticisms that I had I just couldn't with this anymore. I genuinely felt sorry for the people who made this- no one cared about NNK2 plenty in 2019 to play this fifty-fifty if they bought it already in 2018. It's just a error and a miserable experience.

All that said if this somehow sounds similar fun to you then there y'all get I guess. Have fun!

It's funny to come across how Era just follow trends. When the original game came out, a lot of people hated information technology and now near people seem to love it...how weird.

Now everyone and their dog hates NnK2 over here, notwithstanding you see mostly positive reviews on Steam.

No, it'due south a actually weak JRPG.

I don't think so, concluding time I saw a thread with active NnK2 word most of users were rather unhappy with the game. I recollect that during the release appointment it was the same.

Tin can't say that i've enjoyed the DLC very much. The i that i've played a decent corporeality of is a sort of "abyss" with a bunch of floors that drops high level end game gear, but the dungeon itself isn't anything to write domicile about. Simply a agglomeration of reused floors with enemies roaming about, and it gets repetitive when you've gone through 20 or so floors. It does add new skills which made the gameplay a bit better, but forcing myself through those dungeons to larn new abilities but wasn't worth it so I quit at similar floor xxx(which means i have to go back to floor 20, as that was the last checkpoint in the dungeon). Didn't actually bother much with the 2d DLC, so I can't speak much on that one sadly.

*Edit*
I should note that I had a blast with the base of operations game, and would definitely recommend as a fun ARPG to nail through in xxx-40 hours.

There are apparently two story dlc for the game out, are they good if you enjoyed the base game?

Also, if I get the flavour laissez passer I become both dlc, right? because individually it cost me $25 total simply flavour pass is on discount and toll simply $10.

The story office of the DLC has you going to all the inns in (heh) the world (about 6/7) in club for you to view stupid nonsense cutscenes that brand no sense (also with 0 vocalism acting of course) followed by souped up recycled tainted/boss monsters from the main game that take forever to kill. That takes effectually an hour or two earlier you finally build your own inn in (ok that fourth dimension it was on purpose) Evermore and that is when it evidently, properly begins. Aw homo, that's a downer. I knew the kickoff DLC was that random dream dungeon stuff simply thought the second might exist meatier. Not that I intend to revisit the game at present that I've gotten the plat.

I enjoyed the base game. Information technology was mannerly and sweet and I enjoyed the more than straightforward ARPG mechanics more than monster hunting. No strike confronting monster hunting, the brute design in Ni No Kuni was aces but the battle organisation had a weird delay feeling to it and I oasis't played a Pokemon game in a while cause its not my matter.

... okay I played Allow'south Get but it mostly confirmed to me that Pokemon isn't my matter. The Suikoden style of doing sidequests to collect citizens was more my wavelength. I don't mean anything else is like Suikoden, only the feeling of completing these cutesy character quests to recruit them to your Kingdom.

... regardless, aye you lot probably shouldn't dip into DLC if you haven't played the game still. Information technology's worse than buying games you dont play!

I hateful, he's not incorrect, Level 5's output is commonly dramatically improve than what we got in NNK2.

I enjoyed my fourth dimension with it, but I yet recognize it as i of their worst games. Information technology'south REALLY hard to recommend a game that y'all can break within 2 hours of playtime.
